These paintings are part of a collaborative project with poet and friend Penny Boxall. The paintings run alongside Penny’s poems, which are inspired by the Victorian botanist and plant hunter Richard Spruce. His obsession with moss led him to intrepid explorations in the Amazon rainforest where he met with amazing natural phenomenons, unknown indigenous tribes, illness, loneliness and a plethora of beautiful mosses. All paintings are acrylic on board and no more than 12cm x 12cm in size.
