My current painting practice revolves around my love of nature and wildlife. I’m lucky enough to live in a village called Chinnor, right at the foot of the Chilterns, and regularly see badgers, foxes, a barn owl and bats whilst walking in the countryside and in the woods near where I live.
My most recent work is on a tiny scale – I like the jewel-like qualities of miniature artwork and plan to explore this more.
I completed a Fine Art degree at Falmouth University in 2008. My work has taken on many guises since then and has included 5ft tall canvases of empty evocative landscapes, and many paintings of abandoned airfields, asylums and crumbling factories being reclaimed by nature. The power of nature is the binding idea behind all my work.
I have many new ideas and projects in the pipeline including miniature portraits and a series of paintings of secret swimming spots.
